Welcome to ACE

Here are some frequently asked questions that we would like to answer:

What is ACE?

The Armada Continuing Education Program (ACE) is an alternative education program for High School students. ACE is a blended-online class where students show up to a physical building while taking online classes. Students must be in class for the entire day! Motivated students may put in extra time working on their classes from home as well. This is designed to allow students to use online classes at their own pace in a relaxed, flexible environment with the support of a teacher.

What are the class hours?

ACE is a full day program that runs from

8:30-2:30 Monday -Thursday with Attendance on Friday being optional. Hot lunch can be purchased from the HS

How do I enroll in Ace?

Enrollment is based on recommendation from the High School Counselors and by applying with the director.

How do I know ACE is right for me?

Your counselor can help you with this but if you are an 11th or 12th grade student and 4-10 credit behind ~ this might be the right program for you.

What online program is used?

The ACE program uses Edgenuity formerly referred to as E2020. The classes meet the state and national standards. The lessons and assessments are built in which allow the students to work at their own pace.

How many classes can I work on in one day?

A student is assigned five classes. This allows the student to work on one class until it is completed or switch between classes as often as desired.

What does it take to get a diploma?

Regulations dictate how many credits a student needs in the various content areas as well as electives. The high school counselors are able to figure out how many credits you have earned prior to entering ACE and how many credits you need to graduate.

What will my diploma say?

Upon completion of the graduation requirements your diploma will say that you graduated from

ARMADA HIGH SCHOOL

What is a "Prescriptive Test"?

A prescriptive test allows a student to test out of ALL or PART of a class. The content a student knows is removed from the "course map" which allows the student to focus in on the content not yet mastered.

What is a "Pre-Test"?

A pre-test is usually a 10 question quiz at the beginning of each section. An 80% displays mastery and atomically advances you to the next section.
