 About me

When I was in the second grade, I had a teacher that made a difference in my life. At that point I said "I was going to be a teacher just like Mrs. Wiess. As I grew up my desire to become a teacher never wavered and I started my teaching career in 1985. I took a few detours along the way and became a 9-1-1 operator and dispatcher for Macomb County Sheriff's department for over 9 years. Upon retiring from the Sheriff's department I taught for L'Anse Creuse in their Alternative Educational Program at Macomb County Jail. My desire to return to a K-12 setting eventually brought me to Armada in 2006. I fell in love with this school district and the community. Since 2006 I have taught 8th Grade Science/Biology, Physical Education, Health, Going Green and ACE. I also coached volleyball (9th grade & 7th grade) and 7th grade basketball.

I have been married for 33 years, I have 3 children, 2 grand dogs and love exercising outdoors. In the Spring and Fall you might just catch  a glimpse of me riding my bicycle to school.

Let's work together
